You will be emailed an order confirmation that will include your unique Booking Reference Number and a barcode that also contains this number. Please bring this with you and display it at our ticket hut upon arrival. You may print the tickets off or show them on your iPhone/Smart Phone.
Yes, refunds will be administered should we be forced to close by the Government. Should you need a refund for any other reason, we will need 48 hours notice prior to your visit. Any time after this, you will be offered a transfer and not a refund.

Yes, we have spaces for disabled parking next to the station platform, toilets and a disabled carriage. We advise you to ring the office before visiting to discuss availability and suitability of our disabled carriage which has room for 1 wheelchair and 1 extra passenger.
0 - 24 Months go free on the Train and Fairy Walk. Carers will also have free entry onto site (1 carer per full paying person). Please bring along paper evidence to display when purchasing your tickets or book tickets onlien and bring the evidence along with you on the day.
We advise that you book tickets for our Special Events as they get extremely busy. Our Easter, Enchanted Fairy and Elf Walk Opening, Halloween and Christmas Events are pre-booked tickets only. However if you wish to visit on a General Running day you can either purchase tickets online or when you get to site.

Yes, a baby changing station is located within the disabled toilet facilities.
We are primarily an open site with limited shelter. Please be prepared with suitable clothing and footwear.
Yes, your buggy can be left on the station whilst on your train ride, however this area is uncovered. The Fairy and Elf Walk is buggy friendly.
Smoking or use of e-cigarettes is not allowed anywhere on the site as it’s a smelly habit and the Elves and Fairies don’t like it.

Yes we do accept the Essex Pass. The offer is only valid on general running days which excludes Special Events. You will receive 1 x Child Combined Ticket free when purchased with 1 x Adult Combined Ticket. Only one card can be used per party, per day.
Yes, dogs are allowed on site but must be kept on a lead at all times and all mess to be cleared up, because poop is even worse than smoking.
No, open fires and barbecues are not allowed.
No, but we try our best to run Steam Engines on Saturdays and Sundays and on other specified days subject to weather conditions. Apart from our Special Event days, the last Steam Train is at 3.00pm
An array of homemade hot and cold food and drinks are available from our Signal Box Café using locally sourced ingredients. Ice creams are available from the Gift Shop, they are sourced from local company Saffron Ice Cream. Yum!
There is no charge for car parking. We have a limited number of spaces on our main site with reserved spaces for disabled (blue badge) holders. Once all the spaces are taken you will be directed to our overflow car park which is situated approximately 300m away up Audley End Road.
During adverse weather conditions it may be necessary to suspend train services or close the site at short notice. Please telephone us or check social media before commencing your journey. If the site has to shut on a normal running day and you have booked tickets online you will be able to transfer these tickets to another normal running day. If we close the site on a Special Event we will issue refunds where possible or try and accomodate you on another date/event.
We have an outdoor Picnic and Play Area which is only open when the site is open, and is available for use by ticket holders only.

Additional pay to use facilities on site include, a children’s vintage roundabout, swingboats and a bouncy castle at a cost of £2.00 per child for unlimited use. (Weather dependent)
Our Special Event days usually include more additional activities such as craft making.
If you have purchased tickets for a normal running day, your ticket will be valid for the specified date you booked for. The site opens from 10.00am to 5.00pm. However you must arrive on site before 3.00pm to ensure you enjoy all activities on offer.
If you have purchased tickets for a Special Event, please be ready to board your specific train time 10-15 minutes before hand or alternatively if you have booked an hourly time slot please be ready to enter into the queueing area 10-15 minutes before also. You are more than welcome to arrive on site before your designated time time/slot and enjoy all other activities on offer before hand. If your train time/slot is after 3.00pm we recommend you arrive before hand to enjoy all other activities.
You will need to join the 'pay on the day' queue & board the next available train, or, if applicable, will be allocated a later 'hourly time slot'.
