This April, hop aboard the Easter Special at Audley End Miniature Railway for some seasonal surprises and make some magical family memories. Sure to entertain are our popular farmyard characters who will greet you during your adventure with us. Everyday from 5th to 21st April, come along to spring into the Easter spirit!  

Our friendly Farmer will welcome you onboard before you head into our woods to spot egg–citing Easter scenes throughout the forest. You’ll be entertained by ‘Shearlock Holmes,’ the world’s greatest sheep detective, who has teamed up with the Easter Bunny and the Farmyard animals to help solve the mystery of the missing eggs! Each child will receive a springtime souvenir to take home.  

Once the case is cracked, Little Bo Peep will guide you back to the Woodland Station and invite you to stroll through the Fulfen Forest before arriving at the potting shed. Here, with the help of our friendly farmers, you will plant your own carrot seeds to take home and nurture into a fully grown delicious carrot! 

Follow the magic through our Fairy and Elf Walk, to see how they have decorated their handmade homes this Easter.    

Head to our Stage Show to find our bold and mischievous Fox, who will alternate between storytelling sessions and then lively interactive games throughout the day. 

The Easter entertainment continues in the picnic field, where children can let off steam in the adventure play area. Enjoy our egg-sellent food and drink – with seasonal treats on offer – available at the Woodland Cafe to keep the whole family fuelled for fun.

Our Woodland Adventure Days take place throughout the year, offering a relaxed environment for families to enjoy.

They are our off-peak, great-value days, where you can make use of our adventure playground, explore our fairy walk and of course ride on one of our trains!

During the week they are a perfect day out for parents and grandparents to take the little ones somewhere for a few hours, while the bigger ones are at school.

Also a great location to gather as a group, or with your homeschool network, with plenty of parking and space to roam around.

Plus, take advantage of our group booking discount! If you’re booking for 10 or more, you’ll automatically receive 10% off at checkout. For groups of 20 or more, enjoy 20% off, and for 30 or more, you’ll get 30% off.

It is cheaper to book online, in advance, when you buy more than one ticket. When you buy a ticket on the door it will be £2 more.

Our weekday tickets are our best rate, they are cheaper than our weekend tickets.

Our Autism & SEN friendly Woodland Adventure Days take place throughout the year, offering a relaxed environment for you to enjoy.

Our Autism & SEN friendly sessions are the first train of the day, which means there are fewer people on site. 

They are our off-peak, great-value days, where you can make use of our adventure playground, explore our fairy walk and of course ride on one of our trains!

Also a great location to gather as a group, or with your homeschool network, with plenty of parking and space to roam around.

Join in the fun at our Autism & SEN Friendly sessions. After talking to many parents of children with special educational needs or disabilities we have made the following adjustments to our Easter Special:  

- The session will be at the beginning of the day so visitors will be the first customers on site and the site will therefore be quieter  

- Parking will be in our disabled car park for close access to the site  

- Reduced or eliminated queuing time  

- Reduced volume of sound/music & no microphones  

- No flashing lights or unexpected events/sounds  

- All staff will be trained to reflect the advice the specialists and parents have given us

The 9.40am /10am time you have selected is for your train ride where your exciting experience will begin, all other activities will follow on from this. Please arrive 30 minutes before your train ride to ensure you are ready to board at the time you have selected. If you require the wheelchair carriage please let us know in advance by emailing enquiries@aemr.co.uk.
